"Calm yourself," Raphael admonished. "Your child is safe. You will see her soon enough."
"Her?"
Raphael nodded. "Yes."
Josie hugged that knowledge to herselfa little girl. She'd always dreamed of having a daughter. Too bad she wouldn't be able to enjoy the gift the way she'd imagined. Despair threatened once more.
Raphael brushed his hand back and forth, as if waving away her pain. "None of that, Josie. We have no time for despair now, and there is no need."
Hope chased away the despair. "I can see my little girl?"
"Soon," he repeated. "But before you can reside in heaven, God has decided you will return to earth and help someone there." He held up his hand, staving off her denial. "He was quite specific when He insisted you would be the best one for her. If you can complete your task, then you will enter heaven as one of my angelsa guardian angel."
Raphael said the last with such pride, Josie wondered if she had missed something. She was dead. Her baby was dead. And here sat this angel telling her she had to be a guardian and complete a mission to get into heaven. Right now she could care less about anything except her child.
She narrowed her eyes. "I don't recall anything in the Bible about completing missions to earn heaven."
"Nevertheless, you will do as you are asked. You are the one God has chosen for this particular mission. Only you can help her."
"I don't think so. Just give me my baby and I'll stay out of everyone's way. You won't have to worry about
